Juvéderm Voluma is a volumizing non-surgical dermal filler. Zenn Plastic Surgery’s Advanced Nurse Injector Tara Cypher, RN, MSN, CANS, injects Voluma™ to lift and contour your cheeks, chin, and other areas of your face. This dermal filler contains a modified form of hyaluronic acid (HA). This acid naturally exists within every cell of your body, particularly in your skin. How Do I Prepare For My Treatment?

Does Treatment Hurt?

You do not need to worry about pain when receiving this treatment. The filler contains lidocaine that anesthetizes as you receive your injections. What Kind Of Results Can I Expect?

What Is Recovery Like?

Although the use of Voluma is FDA-approved and safe, you may experience side effects as with any medical procedure. The potential side effects include temporary injection-site redness, tenderness, pain, firmness, lumps, bumps, swelling, itching, bruising, and discoloration. These effects usually remain mild to moderate and do not last long.

Contraindications Of Voluma Use

If you are allergic to lidocaine or proteins in HA, this non-surgical treatment is not for you.
